Offering beautiful views of Mount Etna and the Mediterranean Sea, Relais Monaci delle Terre Nere is 2 km outside the town of Zafferana Etnea. This mansion was built in the mid 1800s and is a historic winery.
Relais Monaci has over 100 species of fruit on site and produces its own vegetables that can be enjoyed at the restaurant. An organic breakfast buffet is served in the breakfast room each morning, which is where they used to press grapes. The restaurant is open at lunch and dinner.
The elegant rooms all have original features such as wood-beamed ceilings or exposed stone walls. Each one has a balcony or patio with a view of the garden, sea or Mount Etna.
